2012 Nov + 2013 Jan BBC band for Radio 4 Awards/meet 'n Greet in the re-vamped Broadcasting House
2011 December Studio drum recordings supplied to Rob Manning to 'beef up' existing sound library tracks and client product accompaniment tracks.
2010-2011 December and January Shows in Paris @ Chez Justine and Le China with Vashti and LBT's.
2010 September-December combined Vashti European music tour with Twelfth Night UK theatre tour and teaching
2010 September - Recording of Vashti's EP at Angel Studios and Photo Session
2010 February and onwards - Development of Gypsy Jazz band for function work. Collaborating with guitarist Enrick Adams.
2008 -2009. Rehearsal, UK and European Tour as multi-instrumentalist with Filter Theatre Company, (RSC), in their production of Twelfth Night. This involves working from cues, reading music,using mac based software for midi triggering, and working with actors in the development of the play.
2008 June. Percussionist for Tom Baxter, (EMI)
2008 - 2010 - Los Gatos - Tango, Brazilean and Cuban band where as well as percussion Alan plays Piano.
2007 and onwards Gigs throughout with The Something Happenings. Busy Function band with excellent players, playing mainly blues based rock covers.
2007 and onwards - The Little Big Tones - busy function band playing rock 'n' roll.
2007 Feb Educational visit to Salvador, N.E. Brazil. Studied Brazilian styles such as Samba, Batucada, Forro and Choro. Private lessons taken in Pandeiro.
2006 and onwards - Grupo Janeiro - Latin based band featuring Mike Georgiades on Classical guitar.
2005 Feb - Cuban trip. Privately sourcing lessons in Cuban percussion.
2004-2007 - Function work throughout
2004 - Percussionist on a two week music course in Havana, Cuba. Taught by charanga band 'Estrallas Cubanas'.
2004 and onwards
Has been consecutively awarded ‘outstanding’ teaching ability in an Offsted Assessment for 2009 and 2010.
I am a member of the Musicians Union.
1996-99 Salford University studying Popular Music and Recording BA hons. Studied drums and percussion under Dave Hassell, 1:1 for three years. Many advanced concepts in drumming were learnt from Dave including the ‘Moeller’ technique, advanced reading and Latin percussion studies.
1992-96. Member of the Harrow School of Young Musicians.
